Ballymiscaw Cookery School is for people who want to learn how to cook or improve their culinary skills in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Choose from Easy Entertaining, One Pot Wonders, BBQ Bonanza, Simply Students and many more.Set in a modern classroom environment in Ashfield Girls’ High School, we will help you make delicious food with care and attention. Each course is run by Peter and Kate Buchanan, who will guide you through the day and answer any questions you might have. Kate has 17 years’ experience as a Home Economics teacher and Peter has 47 years’ experience eating. Each course is full of fun and would be a great day out on your own, with friends or as a group. Email info@ballymiscaw.comCourse FormatArriving from 9.45am onwards for registration, coffee and muffins.At 10am we start each day with a short briefing and introduction to your course.We like to focus on the benefits of preparing ahead and creating simple and delicious food. Following demonstrations, you will be given the time and assistance to replicate what you have been shown. We stop for lunch in the middle of the day to enjoy the fruits of your labour and a glass of wine.All ingredients and equipment will be provided on the day and there’s an opportunity to take a few nibbles home with you. The day will finish around 4.00pm.The all-inclusive cost for the day is £ 85.00 Evening Classes We intend to hold various evening classes throughout 2012. Students going to university, vegetarians, those in a hurry and gluten free will be some of our ideas for these nights. Our aim is to show some simple but tasty meals, cooked on a budget but full of flavour. The evening will be full of demonstrations and tastings.
