A little about the club
Bærum Golf Club was founded in 1972. The club is located on the old Hellerudsletta farm in pocket valley which was acquired by the club in connection with the establishment of the golf course in 1989. Centre for Bærum Golf Club, with clubhouse, pro shop, cafeteria and fitness area located partly on the old site of Hellerudsletta Farm. The farm was operated until 1986 and the very old. Plowing on "Holma" (present-day short course) in 1932. Hellerudsletta farm is the first time we hear about the farm is in an old document dating back to 1336. The large outbuilding (barn) is now gone, but replaced by club new clubhouse. The old farmhouse and storehouse are preserved and rehabilitated. farm is located on a flat rock and got hence the name Hellerudsletta. In 1336 that is the first time we officially heard about the farm name was written Hellesrud. Around the 1400's was the name for some years written Helles Rudi. At this time (1398) belonged to the farm See of Oslo. Hellerudsletta were living in the Middle Ages but was completely deserted after the Black Death. It took many years before the farm came to independently operate. In 1650, the Hellerudsletta dissolved clearance space under the farm Burud and was then under Nesøygodset. In 1663 the farm was sold to Knud Frandzen who owned the place for 11 years before he in 1677 sold it to Johan Krefting (Lawley, now Løvenskiold) The first real use of Hellerudsletta as known was Gulbrand Nilsen about 1690. In 1694 got Guldbrand Christensen Jonsrudhytta purchased the farm of Anna Krefting (Lawley) and got the deed to the farm during this period was also Jørgen Muserud driver of the farm. In 1722 Jon Gulbrandsen took over his father's farm. His son again, Gulbrand Jones, sold the farm on to Peder journey from Ringerike in 1749. He owned and ran the farm until 1775 and sold it to Conrad Clausen (Lawley, now Løvenskiold) Later Hellerudsletta belonged Lawley and operated as tenant farms. In 1801 Lars Christensen from Grorud uses, son Peder Larsen was a tenant farmer there in the period 1815 to 1835. In 1890 the farm was still owned by Lawley, but at this time were peasant Paul Thoresen (the undersigned's great grandfather!) Kristian Hellerudsletta, son of Paul eventually took over his father's farm. Kristian ran the farm as a tenant from 1924 frrem until his death in 1942. He slipped on a rock, fell into the river and drowned (in the current short course). Following Kristian's death took Paul Trulsrud operation for one year before Asle Nilsen and his wife Gudrun took over and ran the farm on. They ran the farm for a period of Lawley Farm itself took over. The farm was then used only as pasture for sheep herd to Brig. The population consisted of all 5,000 animal. In the late 1980s, the property was laid out to center. Bærum Golf Club bought when about 30 acres of yard and all the houses. Bærum municipality bought the rest of the property. Bærum Golf Club rents the remaining area of the use of the municipality, Løvenskiold and various landowners. Bispeveien road through the yard at Hellerudsletta farm is referred to as Bispeveien, the reason for this is that the road is described in Bishop Jens Nilsson's account of visitareisen in 1594. Today sees the Pilgrims in Bærum in this defiance. Jostein Trulsrud
