Aw Boon Haw Gardens

This garden was built by Aw Boon Haw, the inventor of Tiger Balm (the Chinese cure all medicine), in 1935. The garden is filled with sculptures and grottoes depicting ancient Chinese myths. Many of them feature retribution themes of how evil people suffer when they die. The statues of monsters and ill-fated people can be a bit disturbing, especially for children.
