You can bring your own food (not drinks!) if you want. On the Mönchsberg, bus stop Landeskrankenhaus, or a 20 minute walk from the Altes Rathaus - just follow the river with the hill to your left and when you see the Augustinerkloster abbey on top of the hill, take the stairs going up.
