ATMs (AKA cash machines) are fairly well distributed around the country. There are several ATMS in the international airports, in shopping malls and in hotels. A few of these have the facility to take United States dollars instead of UAE Dirhams, which can be useful when travelling to another country from the UAE. Many banks familiar to visitors from the USA and UK are represented here (including HSBC, Barclays, HSBC and Standard Chartered), but also many local banks which all offer ATM facilities.
