Athirapally Falls is dominant to its scenic beauty serene naturalistic atmosphere. This popular tourist destination is about 45 minutes from Chalakudy the nearest town and railway station. It is about one and half hours drive and 40 kms from Kochi International airport. The falls are on the edge of Sholayar forest and falls from a height of about 80mts to join the Chalakudy river below. The falls are lovely and majestic from the top and bottom too. It is in it's full stream during the monsoons. Going near the falls you got to be very, very cautious. It might be very slippery and remember many a people have lost their lives in this place.
