As-Syafaah Mosque

The Assyafaah Mosque, situated on the edge of Sembawang Town in north Singapore, may not be immediately recognizable as an Islamic place of worship. As an alternative to the traditional eastern model, the contemporary interpretation is welcoming to all members of the community, while subtle references celebrate religious traditions of Islam. Adjoining the main building, which houses the prayer hall, a madrasah - an Islamic school - for children is accommodated in a separate wing to the south. Administrative offices are attached to the north.
