Angry Annie's Restaurant & Bar

First St., Holetown, St. James

About

Annie may be angry, but the atmosphere here is friendly, cozy, uninhibited, and whimsical. Originally built about a century ago as a simple wooden cabin, Annie's now rests amid one of the densest concentrations of restaurants in Barbados. It's outfitted in almost violently tropical colors, with a bar that features a playlist of rock-'n'-roll classics. The dishes are uncomplicated, tasty, and permeated with local flavor. The place is especially known for its "famous" ribs, the most savory on the island, and roasted Bajan chicken. We like the garlic-cream potatoes and the fresh local vegetables. Annie also turns out fresh fish and excellent pasta dishes.
