Anathapindika Stupa is believed to have been built by Anathapindika, a chief disciple of Buddha. Literal meaning of Anathapindika is 'feeder of the orphans or helpless'. Ruins of this stupa, including a few stairs leading up to the stupa and a plinth, can be seen at this place.
