Amsterdam celebrates the wonderful world of sport this May with a long weekend of activities spread across the capital.Sporting legacyThe historical Olympic Stadium forms the beating heart of the Amsterdam Sport Weekend, welcoming competitors from all over the world for the Amsterdam Student Games and the prestigious Copa Amsterdam youth football tournament. There’s also bouts of basketball, street tennis, athletics and BMX biking (a taster of the upcoming Red Bull Framed Reactions).And out in the west of the city, an oval ball takes centre stage as international rugby stars ruck down for the Amsterdam Sevens and IRB Women’s Sevens World Series.
