Just behind the Shin Kong Mitsukosi department store in the city of Hsinchu on Taiwan's northern coast, the friendly staff at American Grill in Taiwan grill up some of the best burgers to be had anywhere in the country. The small menu, available in both English and Chinese, includes the basic hamburger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, and chicken burger, with a few tasty alternatives, like the ham and cheese or mushroom, onion, and provolone stuffed burgers. Each burger comes with the standard toppings and spicy Dragon Breath barbecue sauce upon request. If your heart is still feeling a little too healthy after that burger, American Grill serves half a dozen deep-fried snacks as well as the chef's famous potato salad.
