Custom House SquareUntil a recent renovation corrected its list, the Albert Memorial Clock was Belfast’s answer to Pisa’s leaning tower. Erected in 1865 in Gothic style to commemorate Queen Victoria’s consort, Prince Albert, it was tall enough at 113ft, to offer an excellent vantage point for at least one enterprising sightseer to get a birds-eye view of Titanic’s launch.Built on land reclaimed from the River Lagan, the "Albert Clock" features a statue of Prince Albert as well as ornately carved crowned lions and floral decorations.
