Small old village at Alampallam, Kollengode is situated besides the murmuring Gayathri River is 23 kilometers away from Palakkad Town. It has about 100 houses spread over in two rows. The early settlers of the village have had mainly migrated from Mayooram now called as Mayiladuthurai and Nadukaveri in Tanjore District of Tamilnadu. Sree Chaithanya Mahaganapathi the presiding deity of our temple is in the heart of the Village and in the hearts of all.
