The Agrodome Sheep Show is a one-hour performance, presented three times daily in a specially designed auditorium. During the show the audience will see nineteen sheep breeds introduced onto the stage, the art of sheep shearing, sheepdog demonstrations, cow milking, bottle feed lambs and an exciting sheep auction. Audience participation is a major part of the show highlighting the significance of agriculture in New Zealand. The authentic working farm tour at the Agrodome is a fun, educational and entertaining one hour tour. In an all-weather, all terrain vehicle, the tour offers a hands on experience with many exciting close encounters. You will meet animals of all descriptions, including Romney sheep, beef cattle, red and fallow deer, lamas, alpacas, ostrich and emus. The guided tour shows you all the ins and outs of our 160 hectare farm. We'll make regular stops along the way with time to hand-feed and pet the friendly animals. Your friendly, knowledgeable and experienced tour guide will explain everything and answer any questions you might have. During the farm tour, you will also visit our organic apple, mandarin, orange, olive and kiwi fruit orchard and stop at the Organic Education Centre for kiwifruit wine and honey tasting.
