About
A number of places around town, including the sadly defunct Beeliner Diner, try to capitalize on nostalgia for the '50s, and one of the best is this West Seattle jewel. The food is a little on the greasy side, but if you feel like slicking back your hair and embracing dietary hedonism, you should seek out this eatery. Decor is what you would expect from an American diner of the '50s, a jukebox with oldies and all the kitsch you can handle. The menu is filled with hearty favorites from a time when we paid less attention to cholesterol and more to taste. The hefty dishes include pancakes, eggs, greasy-but-good burgers, fries and a variety of sandwiches.
