From 5 September to 28 October 2013, visit a different side with this double exhibition at Amsterdam’s Podium Mozaïek featuring work by Afghan-Dutch painter Abubakr Ayubi and Iraq-Dutch photographer Amanj Sharif.Art exhibition bringing two worlds togetherBeauty can come from conflict, especially as seen through the eyes of these two artists.Inspired by pre-Islamic and Christian Afghanistan, Amsterdam-based Ayubi reflects on themes of the ancient past mixing with the modern west. Photographer Sharif brings a view of his ideas on expression, from a country where expression isn’t encouraged.
