Aberavon Beach has something for everyone. Families need look no further for things to do on one of Wales’ longest sandy beaches, which boasts an Aquasplash playground, Children’s Play areas and grassed open areas providing hours of family fun. The Celtic Trail, part of the National Cycle network, takes you along the promenade at Aberavon and is one of its most leisurely and enjoyable sections with fantastic views. Walkers, Joggers, Cyclists and even Skaters are all to be found along the promenade. The distinctive skate park, Aquasplash play pool and adventure playground means that there is something for all. For the adventurous, Aberavon Beach is renowned for its ability to hold big swells and it hosts a number of large scale and prestigious events including a popular beach festival. Aberavon is a surfing ‘hotspot’ and whatever month of the year, you are sure to find a crowd of surfers in search of the perfect wave!
