The Puppentheater Abakus (Abakus Puppet Theatre) mainly puts on productions starring Kasper, the hero of German puppet theatre. Puppeteer Carsta Schröder continues the tradition of puppetry of illustrating social ills. This tradition dates back to the Middle Ages. She has rewritten several Kasper plays herself.
