25 Degrees
Phoenix
About
Hollywood, Beijing.CityNorth That's right, Phoenix has been added to the list of chic 25 Degrees locations, when the new burger and wine bar is now open to the public at CityNorth. As the second 25 Degrees location in the United States for Tim and Liza Goodell, 25 Degrees is bound to beef up the offerings at CityNorth and is the hottest new place to see and be seen in the Valley. 25 Degrees offers a new twist on the traditional American burger joint. It offers a casual, yet upscale dining experience and includes a unique menu with a substantial wine list. The "bordello meets burger bar" is decorated with French toile wallpaper and black crystal chandeliers, creating a swanky atmosphere and old Hollywood ambiance. There are three 25 Degrees locations: Hollywood, Beijing, and this newest addition, Phoenix. The décor of the restaurant, including French toile wallpaper and black crystal chandeliers, will bring a taste of Hollywood to Phoenix, contributing to the restaurant's playful "Bordello meets Burger Bar" attitude. 25 Degrees, whose clever name actually refers to the temperature difference between a medium-rare burger and a well-done burger, will add an upscale twist to the traditional American burger joint, offering unique burger toppings and a wine list with more than 50 selections, as well as a full bar including signature hand-crafted specialty cocktails and adult-inspired milkshakes. The menu features chopped sirloin beef, veggie, tuna, and turkey burgers ranging from just $8 to $12. Guests can choose from 14 domestic and imported cheeses, more than a dozen house-made sauces, and gourmet toppings such as crispy proscuitto, fried egg, and roasted Roma tomatoes to top off their burger. The wine list is also affordable, with over 15 wines offered by the jug and priced from $7, and a selection of over 50 boutique bottle selections, including K Vintners, Doyenne, and Orin Swift. The restaurant will also feature a large selection of draft beer, as well as root beer on tap. "We are so excited to open 25 Degrees at CityNorth," said Liza Goodell, owner of Domaine Restaurants, the parent company of 25 Degrees. "CityNorth is a great location and has the right vibe for a burger and wine bar like 25 Degrees. We think the restaurant will be successful in Phoenix because it provides everything that people are looking for right now - great food, affordable prices, and a convenient location." This is the second 25 Degrees location in the United States for Tim and Liza Goodell, owners of Domaine Restaurants and proprietors of such landmark restaurants as Dakota, Troquet, and the Red Pearl Kitchen. The other 25 Degrees locations include one on Hollywood Boulevard inside the famed Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and another at the newly opened Hotel G located in Beijing, China. Domaine plans to open two more 25 Degrees restaurants in 2009, including locations in Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, California.
