Day 1: Arusha
Our trips throughout Kenya and Tanzania have a maximum group size of six travellers in addition to a CEO and a driver who are both trained safari guides. That means everyone gets a window seat and twice the insight about the astounding wildlife all around you.
Day 2: Arusha/lake Manyara National Park
The western wall of the Rift Valley escarpment provides a beautiful backdrop in your search for wildlife during our time here. In the afternoon we spend more time viewing the park’s bird life and other wild animals along the main road that winds through the forests of large ficus trees covered in ferns.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park/serengeti National Park
Today arrive in a Maasai village after driving through the Rift Valley and learn about the G Adventures–supported Clean Cookstoves Project. Experience a presentation by a Massai woman detailing the impact that this project has had in these communities and end with a guided tour of the village. Along the way to our safari camp in Serengeti National Park we will stop at the Olduvai Gorge Museum and Visitor’s Centre.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
It’s all about safaris today on this visit to one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife reserves; the Serengeti. Set out on morning and afternoon safaris in a 4x4 through the flowing grasslands. If luck is on your side, spot all of Africa’s “big five” animals before settling in at the Serengeti Wildlife Research Centre to enjoy a talk by one of the visiting researchers.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park/ngorongoro
Search for more wildlife as you depart the Serengeti in the morning and continue scanning the landscape on the way to our tented camp near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Check a UNESCO World Heritage site off your travel lists while you enjoy the vibrant colours of an African sunset from the viewing deck.
Day 6: Ngorongoro/arusha
Descend into the green-walled paradise of the Ngorongoro Crater to spot more wildlife on an early morning safari. Ngorongoro also happens to be the largest non-flooded caldera in the world. Scan the world within during our picnic lunch on the floor of this crater and then settle in on the drive to Arusha.
Day 7: Arusha
Depart at any time.
