Saudi Arabia, the second largest country encompassing the majority of Arab land, is home to many natural wonders. The ochre desert isn’t the only gorgeous sight you can see in Saudi, so allow us to show you a whole new world you can’t find elsewhere. Especially Al-Baha, which is known for the beautiful view and cool temperature, located at over 2.5km above sea level. It’s home to more than 1,000 stone qasbah lookout towers with bustling markets (souqs). We land in Jeddah, where we’ll start with a historical tour from Al-Balad, the old town of Jeddah, and visit remnants of what this ancient city was once. The city is known for the major gates that saw the highest traffic into and out of the port city, mostly of people making their way to the holy cities of Madinah and Mecca. It’s also where Al-Shafi Mosque is found, as the biggest and most important worship place that has over 1.3k years of ancient history. From Jeddah, we’ll hop on a Taif tour and visit the popular area of Barhat Al Qazzaz Souq to see the aesthetic cafes. The city has also become a luxurious destination as it’s near luxurious resort areas on Jabal Dakka, or the slope of Al-Hada Mountains that brag gorgeous views of the holy cities from above. The road up is also exquisite as you’ll pass by rose farms and perfume factories and beautiful rock formations. The Hejaz region is a particularly unique region as it’s located at a higher altitude, surrounded by lush forests and rich valleys. It is home to many ancient settlements, built on the slop of the mountains with houses that can traced as far back as the 8th century, such as the Marble Village of Dhee Ayn. With so much story to tell, these heritage villages and their weekly activities became the main tourist attractions, particularly the Saturday Historical Market Baljurashi and Sunday Market, as well as the protected lands of Raghadan Forest Park and Khairah Forest Park. Also included in the package is Abha, the home of mud-walled Shada Castle and the old Al-Muftaha Village. We end the trip with a Rijal Almaa tour that’ll take you up to the highest point in Saudi Arabia: Jabal Sawda.
