India’s North East is a land of undulating hills and plains with luxuriant green cover and a wide variety or rare and exotic flora and fauna. The Bramhaputra valley with its near tropical climate is a fertile plain on the basin of one of the largest rivers of the world. The hilly terrain of the region ranges from Nagaland in the east to the Meghalaya in the west the Mizoram lies in the south while in the north lies the Arunachal Pradesh extends to the snow-clad ridges of the great Himalayas.
Day 1: Arrival At Guwahati
Meet and greet upon arrival and then transfer to Kaziranga National Park. Evening at Leisure. Overnight in Kaziranga National Park.
Day 2: Kaziranga National Park
Early morning Elephant Safari. After that return back to hotel for breakfast. After lunch go for Jeep Safari in the Range of Kaziranga National Park. Later come back to hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga National Park.
Day 3: Kaziranga National Park
Early morning Elephant safari in Western Range (if not done on Day 2), then come back to hotel to freshen up and get your breakfast packed and leave for Eastern Range ‘Agoratoli’. Later come back hotel. Evening at leisure. Optional Bihu Dance could be organized on request on direct payment basis. Overnight in Kaziranga National Park.
Day 4: Kaziranga To Shillong
After breakfast, transfer to Shillong. En route visit Umiam Lake or Barapani Park. Evening visit Shillong’s famous Police Bazar. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 5: Shillong Sightseeing
After breakfast, full day sightseeing in Shillong. The ‘Gleneagles of the East’ lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. The sightseeing includes Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Culture, Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks and boating, Botanical Garden offers plethora of indigenous and exotic plants and rare collection of orchids, Butterfly Museum is a storehouse of finest and rarest species of butterflies and moths, Lady Hydari Park is a Japanese style landscaped park endowed with stretches of roses and exquisite flowers. The Mini Zoo adjacent to the park has about 73 birds, 140 reptiles and mammals, Golf Course is one of the largest Golf courses in Asia. Spend the evening in the splendid arena, State Museum is a display of the lifestyle and heritage of the people of Meghalaya, Elephant Falls is a mountain stream gorging down two successive falls set in dells of fern covered rocks, Shillong Peak displays a mesmerizing view of the scenic country side. A unique spot of Shillong is Archery Stakes. A gambling sport which is held every day (except Sundays) at 4.00 PM. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 6: Departure
After breakfast transfer to Airport or Railway station for departure. Your tour ends here with pleasant memories.
