Day 1: Arrive Bagdogra Airport & Transfer To Gangtok
Trip Factory welcomes you to you North East Delight – Vegetarian Tour with Chef Tour! Upon arrival, our representative will meet greet you at Bagdogra airport & later we proceed to Gangtok. The pick up is by a sharing vehicle to go to Gangtok (Approximately 120 kms / 5 hours Hill Road). Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim and is adorned with colorful, beautiful flower beds and a cool hill station at an altitude of 5,500 feet above the sea level. Upon arrival at Gangtok, check in to your hotel. Rest of the day is free or at leisure. Relax at the hotel or explore the city on your own. In the evening, enjoy vegetarian dinner prepared by ours own chefs and overnight stay at Gangtok (D)
Day 2: Gangtok - Visit To Changu Lake & Baba Temple
After breakfast in the morning, we proceed to Changu Lake and Baba Temple (Approximately 55 kms / 3 hours). Due to bad weather conditions, snowfall, landslides and traffic jams; if this place or road is closed for travel then an alternative sightseeing will be done. Changu Lake is at an altitude of 12,400 feet and The Baba Temple is located at an altitude of 13,000 feet. After visit to the Changu Lake, we return back to Gangtok. Day 3: Gangtok - Lachung
After breakfast in the morning, check out the hotel in Gangtok to leave for Lachung.Take your bag pack with all the warm clothes, two pairs of clothes and leave for Lachung (Approximately 110 kms / 6 hours Hill Road). Lachung is located at an altitude of 200 feet in the northern part of the state of Sikkim. On the way to Lachung, visit to the Naga Falls & have a beautiful view of the Waterfalls, Chungthang Valley is believed to be a holy place which has been blessed by Guru Padmasambhava; the patron saint of Sikkim, Tung Bridge and Bhim Nala Waterfalls. Arrival at Lachung and check in into the hotel. In the evening, enjoy vegetarian dinner prepared by ours own chefs and overnight stay at Lachung (B & D)
Day 4: Lachung - Gangtok
After breakfast, proceed for the visit to the Yumthang Valley. Yumthang Valley is at an altitude of 12,000 feet and is in the middle of the snow capped mountains on all sides. The Yumthang Valley or Sikkim Valley of Flowers sanctuary, is a nature sanctuary with river, hot springs, yaks and grazing pasture on rolling meadows surrounded by the Himalayan mountains in the North Sikkim district of Sikkim state in India. It is also called the Valley of Flowers. Tourists who have to go to Zero Point & even further from Yumthang, will have to pay extra charges. In the afternoon, enjoy vegetarian lunch prepared by ours own chefs. After visiting Yumthang, we proceed to Gangtok. In the evening, enjoy vegetarian dinner prepared by ours own chefs and overnight stay at Gangtok (B, L & D)
Day 5: Gangtok - Pelling
After breakfast, we depart for a half day sightseeing tour of Gangtok including a Flower Show, Cottage Industry, Handicraft Center, Institute of Tibetanology, Daro-Dul Chorten, Ben Jakhri. After visiting the waterfall, we depart for Pelling (Approximately 150 kms / 5 hours Hill Road). Pelling is a beautiful and lovely hill station located at an altitude of 7,200 feet. In the evening, enjoy vegetarian dinner prepared by ours own chefs and overnight stay at Pelling. (B & D)
Day 6: Pelling- Darjeeling
After breakfast, we visit the Darap Village and Khecheopalri Lake. Darap has retained the pristine nature of its flora and fauna over the years. It is situated at an altitude of 1600 m and the temperature here ranges from -5 to 28 degrees. Khecheopalri Lake, originally known as Kha-Chot-Palri, is a lake located near Khecheopalri village. Visit to the Pemayangtse Monasteryin the afternoon. The Pemayangtse Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in Pemayangtse, near Pelling in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, located 110 km west of Gangtok. Planned, designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1647, it is one of the oldest and premier monasteries of Sikkim, also the most famous in Sikkim. Return to Pelling after visiting the Monastery, Rabindranath Ruins & New Helipad Ground. We depart from Pelling to go to Darjeeling (Approximately 30 kms / 3 hours Hill Road). Day 7: Darjeeling
We will have to reach Tiger Hill by car at 4:00 a.m. in the morning and enjoy the thrilling beauty of sunrise ranked third in the world and with an altitude of 28,208 feet above sea level in Nepal from the Kangchenjunga mountain range seen from India and bathed in gold by the first golden rays of the Sun God. Visit Ghoom Monastery and Gurkha War Memorial (Batasia loop). The Ghoom Monastery is a much revered place for the Buddhist community and it restores some rare Buddhist manuscripts that can hardly be found anywhere else. The War Memorial is located at the center of the Batasia Loop garden in Darjeeling. It has been created to honor and to serve as a memorial for the Gorkha soldiers of Darjeeling area who sacrificed their lives in various operations and wars after India's independence. Traditionally, the Gorkha Regiment has been a strong force in Indian Army where numerous Gorkha soldiers from Darjeeling hills serve the nation. There has been over 75 soldiers who have gallantly died in wars & operations following India's independence. Return back to the hotel. After breakfast, go to Darjeeling to visit places on your own or relax. In the afternoon, enjoy vegetarian lunch prepared by ours own chefs. Day 8: Transfer To Bagdogra Airport
After breakfast, transfer from Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport for your flight with happy memories of your tour. Request you to please book your flight in the afternoon only after 1:00 p.m. (Approximately 90 kms / 3 hours - Hill Road).
