Day 1: Arrival At Guwahati And Transfer To Kaziranga
- Arrive Guwahati airport and transfer to Kaziranga. Check into hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
- Note: This is for your information that elephant ride and jeep safari and forest entry are regulated and controlled by the forest department govt of Assam. As such we do not have any control for booking of elephant seats and entry by jeeps
Day 2: Kaziranga National Park
After an early wake up, you will be taken to the riding point for an Elephant ride. After the ride return back to the hotel after having breakfast at leisure. Afternoon enjoy the park on a Jeep. Overnight stay at Kaziranga
Day 3: Kaziranga To Shillong
After breakfast drive to Shillong. Check into hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 4: Shillong To Cherrapunjee
After breakfast we trek to Single decker Living root bridge - 3-4 hours from the resort. Distance 4 km down and up 1000 feet approx. This trek starts from the resort premises and goes down hill through village Sohsarat. The steps are relatively steeper in two short stretches. Half the distance is covered by steps going down hill. Then there is a jungle path going along the sides of the hill leading to the Living Root Bridge with a few steps after short stretches of sloping foot path. Moss thrives on these sandstone steps during the monsoon and makes them slippery. Back trek to resort and evening at leisure with local music placed by the local boys. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 5: Cherrapunjee To Mwallynong Drive Back To Shillong
- After breakfast excursion to Mwallynong. Enroute near Shillong visit Elephant falls, Shillong peak and then proceed to Mwallynong. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay
- Note: It is advisable to carry packed lunch to Mwallynong
Day 6: Shillong To Guwahati
- After breakfast drive to Guwahati. Check into hotel later visit Kamakhya temple it is situated at the top of the Nilachal hill at about 800 feet above the sea level. The entire temple complex not only comprises of many other temples but also a whole set of people connected with them. Apart from the main Devi temple, it also comprises of some other major temples of Devi Kali, Tara, Bagala, Chinnamasta, Bhuvanesvari, Bhairavi and Dhumavati.
- Also visit Sankardev Kalakhetra located in a beautifully landscaped setting and inaugurated in 1998, is a multi-arts complex showcasing the rich culture of the state. Named after the most honored Vaishnava saint and the greatest integrator of Assamese society Srimanta sankardeva, the Kalakshetra houses a Central museum where objects and day to day articles used by different ethnic groups are exhibited. It preserves the cultural identity of various communities and tribes of Assam by promoting dance, drama, music and art. There is also an artists’ village that creates the atmosphere of a typical Assamese community, the Lalit-Kala Bhavan art gallery where exhibitions, art and sculpture workshops are also held, a Heritage park, an open air theatre with the capacity to hold 2,000 people, a traditional Vaishnavite temple and the Sahitya bhavan library of rare books and manuscripts. Overnight stay at Guwahati.
Day 7: Departure To Airport
After breakfast drive to Guwahati airport.
