About the trip
This itinerary gives you a slice of God’s own country – by experiencing the tea garden hill station of Munnar, a boat safari at the Periyar sanctuary in Thekkady followed by a relaxing house boat cruise and stay at Alleppey, a town with picturesque canals, backwaters and lagoons.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Cochin Airport To Munnar (Hill Station)
Arrival at Cochin airport / Railway station, where a Hammock representative will meet you. Transfer to Munnar by car. Check in to Hotel. Day at leisure – sightseeing of Munnar. Overnight stay in Munnar.
Day 2: In Munnar (Hill Station)
Breakfast at hotel. Then proceed for a full day sightseeing tour including Photo point, Mattupetty Dam (with a 15 Minutes Boat Drive), Echo point, Shooting point and Kundale Lake. After that visit Blossom park and Pothenmedu view point. In the evening visit the Tea Museum. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 3: Munnar To Thekkady
Check out after breakfast. Transfer to Thekkady and check in to your Hotel. In the afternoon enjoy a boat safari at Periyar sanctuary (on extra cost). Then visit the Coffee curing factory, if time permits. Back to Resort & overnight stay.
Day 4: Thekkady To Alleppey House Boat
- Breakfast at resort. Then check in to Alleppey House Boat for Lunch. Cruise the famous backwater of the Alleppey to Alleppey sector. Overnight stay at House boat.
- Note: The houseboat has one / two bedrooms with an en suite wc, shower & wash basin, a living cum dining area & a kitchen. In the AC houseboat the AC will be operational only in the bedroom from 2100 hrs. till 0800 hrs. The houseboats in Kerala (unlike the houseboats in Kashmir ) cruise the backwaters. However, they anchor in the evening at around 1800 hrs. to permit the local fishermen to cast their nets. The cruise continues only the next day morning at about 0800 hrs.
Day 5: Alleppey To Cochin Airport Drop.
Check out of the Houseboat and then transfer back to Cochin Airport for your return flight.
