"Aashishkhim" is a Nepali-Sikkimese term that literally means "House of Blessings". Aashishkhim Guest House is located in the suburbs of Gangtok about 2 Kms. away from the city. The area is completely surrounded by lush green trees and bamboo grooves with a perpetual stream nearby. The exterior of the structure is of dressed stone and the guests are housed in comfortably furnished rooms with running hot and cold water and cable TV. There is an adjoining spacious common living area with balcony and veranda. The modest lawn and garden is visited by a variety of birds and butterflies in the early hours and are a treat to watch. Indira Bypass along the guest house is a marvelous route for long walks in the countryside through sparsely populated areas.
