Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Guwahati – Bhalukpong
Received on arrival at Guwahati Airport and drive to Bhalukpong, Stay overnight at Bhalukpong.
Day 2: Bhalukpong - Dirang
After breakfast, drive up to Dirang famous for the Kalchakra Gompa, the apple orchards, yak breeding farms & the hot springs. On the way, visit Tippi Orchidarium- home to more than 500 species of Orchids. Stay overnight at Dirang.
Day 3: Dirang - Tawang
After a short visit to the Kalachakra Monastery in Dirang, we drive towards Tawang, a distance of 142 kms (7 hours approx) – the land of the Monpas. Enroute enjoy the Sella Pass (2nd highest motorable pass in the world at 14000 ft.) and the Jaswant Garh. Stay overnight at Tawang.
Day 4: Tawang
Full day sightseeing at Tawang including the legendary 17th Century Tawang Monastery, Sangester Lake, 700 year old Gorsham Chorten, Nuranang Fall, etc. Stay overnight at Tawang.
Day 5: Tawang - Bomdila
Drive down to Bomdila amidst the Himalayan Landscape and snow clad ranges. Enjoy the majestic view of the Kangto & Gorichen Peaks. Visit the Craft Centre, Ethnographic Museum & the Monasteries. Stay overnight at Bomdila.
Day 6: Bomdila - Tezpur
Start for Tezpur – the romantic capital of Assam, 165 kms away. Visit Da-Parbatiya (dating back to 600 AD), Bamuni Hills (900 D), Agnigarh & Chitrlekha Udyan. Stay overnight at Tezpur.
Day 7: Tezpur - Guwahati
After breakfast check out and drive to Guwahati Airport. tour end.
