Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrival At New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport And Transfer To Pelling
On arrival at New Jalpaiguri railway station/ Bagdogra airport you will be transferred to Pelling. Located at a distance of 120 kms from Gangtok, Pelling is another serene mountain village which lies in the western districts of Sikkim.This small town is situated at an altitude of 2000 meters (approx) and boasts of a spectacular view of Mount Kanchenjunga. On arrival check into your hotel, evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Pelling.
Day 2: Pelling Sightseeing
Post breakfast proceed for a city tour by visiting Pemayangste Monastery, Rabtense Ruins, Kanchenjunga Fall and Rimbi water falls, Khecheopalri lake ( A Sacred lake and a pilgrimage centre for all faiths and is about 2 hours drive from Pelling also Known as Wish Fulfilling Lake). Overnight stay at hotel in Pelling.
Day 3: Pelling To Ravangla
After breakfast transfer to Ravangla. Ravangla or Rabong means wet goat. It is a picturesque and quaint town In the foothills of the 12,000 feet Maenam Hill, one of the highest green hills in Sikkim. On arrival check into your hotel, later enjoy the serenity of the green hill Ravangla with presence of Mount Kanchenjunga. Evening enjoy the light show in Buddha park, overnight stay at hotel in Ravangla .
Day 4: Ravangla To Gangtok
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel and drive to Gangtok through scenic Rabongla legship road, enroute visit Temi tea garden (largest organic tea garden in Sikkim). On arrival, check into your hotel, unpack and relax. Evening you can plan a visit to MG marg. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5: Excursion To Tsomgo Lake And Baba Mandir
Enjoy a warm breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a full day excursion to Changu Lake which is 35 kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet.The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains. Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters. Also visit Baba Mandir(In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing). Rest overnight at your hotel.
Day 6: Gangtok City Tour
After breakfast start half day city tour, covering Bakthang Falls, Enchey Monastery, Do-Dul Chorten, Institute Of Tibetology (World’s largest treasury of invaluable old Tibetan books and manuscripts on Buddhist philosophy and religion), flower show and cottage industry ( The convenient place for souvenir hunting). Evening is free for personal activities and shopping. Overnight stay at hotel in Gangtok.
Day 7: Departure To New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Bagdogra Airport
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and drive to New Jalpaiguri railway station/ Bagdogra airport in time for flight / train for your onward journey with sweet memories of eastern Himalaya.
